The AE bus line operates daily at regular 30-minute intervals. In the direction of Václav Havel Airport Prague, this connection can be used from 5:30 (a.m.) until 22:00 (10:00 p.m.), and in the opposite direction from 5:30 (a.m.) until 20:53 (8:53 p.m.). The line is served mostly by low-floor buses providing easy boarding and sufficient space for stowing luggage.

The Airport Express line commenced operations again on 1 July 2021.

TRAIN+ airport

Travel to Václav Havel Prague Airport by train and connecting bus, with a convenient TRAIN+ airport ticket with extended validity.

With the TRAIN+ airport ticket, we comfortably take you to the airport and back home after your return from abroad, all at a discounted price. Simply purchase a return TRAIN+ airport 2nd class ticket, where you will receive two tickets (1st ticket for the train to Prague) and at Prague main station transfer to the AE bus line, using the 2nd ticket for the bus. In just half an hour, you will be at the airport in front of Terminals 1 and 2.

Do not throw away the ticket for the train or the bus. If you get both stamped with the ČD date stamp at any information counter of Václav Havel Prague Airport or tourist information centers of Prague Information Service (Prague City Tourism, arrival terminals T1 and T2) after your arrival from abroad, you can use them to travel back home on the AE line (presenting the 2nd AE line ticket) and further by train (presenting the 1st train ticket) to the station indicated on the ticket as the boarding station.

Please note that due to unpredictable traffic conditions on the AE line route, travel time may be extended. Therefore, it is advisable to choose connecting services with an appropriate time buffer.

Stops of the AIRPORT EXPRESS Bus Line

Main Station (Praha hl. n., metro C, Hlavní nádraží station)
The boarding stop is in Wilsonova street (direction Florenc) right in front of the Fantova building (old dispatch building). The disembarking stop is also in Wilsonova street (direction Museum). Here, barrier-free access with an elevator directly into the departure hall is available.

Prague Airport/Airport (BUS), Terminal 1:
The stop (for both boarding and disembarking) is located in the city transport terminal in front of the check-in hall of Prague Airport, Terminal 1. This terminal is for flights to countries outside the Schengen Agreement.

Prague Airport/Airport (BUS), Terminal 2:
The stop (for disembarking only) is located in the city transport terminal in front of the check-in hall of Prague Airport, Terminal 2. This terminal is for flights to Schengen Agreement countries.

Fares

In the AE bus, special fares of Prague Integrated Transport (“PID”) apply, and selected travel documents according to the valid PID Tariff.
At the ČD cashier counter, train conductor, AE driver, or DPP sales points, PID tickets for the AE line can be purchased for 100 CZK (discounted at 50 CZK for children 6 – 15 years old and dogs).

Children under 6 years of age, ZTP and ZTP-P cardholders including their escort travel for free.

Travel documents must be presented to the bus driver upon boarding. The domestic eTicket can be presented for inspection only printed or displayed on the screen (display) of a portable electronic device as an open PDF file when using the AE service. Therefore, it is not possible to travel based solely on the transaction code communication, presenting a 2D barcode.

PID tickets for the AE line can also be purchased from the bus driver.

The journey there must be commenced on the first day of the ticket's validity.

The IN 100 and IN Business applications for free travel on the AE line cannot be used.

Attention: In the AE bus line, regular PID tickets for a single ride or PID time-based season tickets valid for the Prague area cannot be used.

TRAIN+ airport Tickets

Both TRAIN+ airport tickets can only be used for journeys from the airport after being stamped at the information counter in the arrival terminals or tourist information centers (Visitor Centre) of the Prague Information Service (Prague City Tourism, arrival terminals T1 and T2). You must always present a boarding pass from the flight to Prague.
The return journey from Václav Havel Airport Prague station can be commenced at any time during the validity of the TRAIN+ airport ticket if it has the date stamp imprint. Without this stamp, both TRAIN+ airport tickets are invalid for the return journey and you must pay the fare for the AE line for which you are eligible.
The date on the stamp is the date of commencement of the return journey. The journey must be completed by 24:00 the following day, but no later than 24:00 on the last day of the TRAIN+ airport ticket's validity.
After 8 pm, the TRAIN+ airport ticket can be stamped with the next day's date upon request.
TRAIN+ airport tickets can be purchased in advance up to 2 months ahead.
The TRAIN+ airport ticket cannot be purchased on the ČD e-shop and at ticket vending machines.

Luggage Transport

In AE line buses, you can comfortably and free of charge transport your luggage (max. 90x60x40 cm), a stroller with a child, folded stroller (golf clubs), animal in a crate, a pair of skis, snowboard, children's sled, and bicycles packed according to the conditions of air transport.
