The Nightjet network of overnight trains is operated by Austrian Railways (ÖBB) together with partner railways. Nightjet trains serve Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Belgium, and selected connections operated by partner railways connect to destinations in Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Poland. ČD collaborates with ÖBB in operating these overnight trains, and offers a daily direct connection from Ostrava to Berlin, for example. With a transfer in Vienna or Linz, it is possible to travel on Nightjet overnight trains to a range of new destinations in comfort, without stress and in an environmentally friendly manner.

The next morning you’ll arrive at your destination rested and refreshed, and you’ll already be right downtown. Overnight trains are an ideal way to visit more than 25 European cities or to go on holiday without an exhausting drive.
Travelling on holiday to Corsica or Sardinia, or going skiing in Switzerland? Travel by train and take your car or motorcycle with you. ÖBB Nightjet offers a regular car-carrier service to several destinations, for example to Feldkirch and Livorno.

While you sleep, Nightjet train personnel will attend to your comfort and will transport you safely to your destination. Select a sleeper, couchette or compartment carriage for your overnight journey according to your taste and requirements.
ÖBB Nightjet sleeper carriage

- In your compartment, you will also find a menu listing beverages and refreshments for a fee, which the train team will be happy to serve to you in your compartment.
Variants
- 4-berth compartment: A compartment with 4 couchette berths (2 berths on each side, one above the other; when reserving, it is possible to select the preferred type of berth – upper or lower).
- 6-berth compartment: A compartment with 6 couchette berths (3 berths on each side, positioned above one another; when reserving, it is possible to select the preferred type of berth – upper, middle or lower).
- Private compartment (family compartment): up to 3 adults (and up to 6 persons, max. 5 children under 15) can travel for a flat fee in their own compartment.
When reserving, berths are not distinguished by the gender of the compartment (except for compartments for women).

- Bathrooms and toilets are available in the carriage.
- The compartment can be locked from inside.
