Group discount
220. A discount for a group is provided for a common journey by at least two paying passengers in 2nd carriage class and ticketed on a single joint ticket with the same boarding and disembarking station.
220. 1. For a one-way ticket with a group discount, the price is calculated as follows:
a) the regular fare for the first passenger,
a) IN 25 customer fare for the second passenger,
c) IN 50 customer fare for the third and each additional passenger in the group.
220. 2. For a return ticket with a group discount, the price is calculated as follows:
a) 15+ return discount for the first passenger,
b) IN 25 customer return discount for passengers 15+ for the second passenger,
c) IN 50 customer return fare for passengers 15+ for the third and each additional passenger in the group.
220. 3. A group discount for a small group of 2 to 5 passengers is granted when a ticket is purchased without other terms and conditions.
220. 4. For groups of 6 or more passengers the discount is granted provided that transport is ordered using the form on www.cd.cz, at a ticket counter or through the Contact Centre on tel. 221 111 122 no later than 3 days prior to the departure date.
After the order is approved, it is necessary to purchase tickets on the basis of an assigned transaction code at any ticket counter or in the CD e-shop no later than 48 hours prior to departure. Otherwise, the order is forfeited.
220. 4. 1. Groups of 6 or more passengers will receive as part of their order free seat reservations (excluding SC reservations) or reservations of seats for the selected train.
220. 5. Passengers do not demonstrate eligibility for a group discount; the discount is granted contingent on:
- maintaining the minimum number of participants; for groups of 6 or more passengers contingent on ordering the transport per Art. 220. 4. of the TR 10 Tariff;
- all passengers on the ticket having the same boarding and destination station.
220. 6. If the number of passengers travelling together in a group falls below two persons, the group ticket is recognised for the rest of the journey; for the unused fare, the passenger may exercise his or her right (claim) under the transport contract per the SPPO.
221. In the case of an upgrade for a circuitous journey, the group discount is granted for the longer route as well.
222. It is not possible to combine a one-off upgrade to 1st carriage class with a group discount.
Luggage
191. For groups of 6 or more passengers with bicycles, it is only possible to guarantee places for bicycles provided transport is ordered using the form on www.cd.cz, at a ticket counter or at the Contact Centre on tel. 221 111 122 no later than 3 days prior to the date of departure.
After the order’s approval, it is necessary on the basis of the allocated transaction code to pay the price for the transport of luggage at any ticket counter or in the CD e-shop no later than 48 hours prior to the train’s departure. Otherwise, the order is forfeited.
191. 1. As part of their order, groups of 6 or more passengers will receive a free reservation of a place for a bicycle.
With respect to the transport contract, exercising rights under the transport contract, indemnification, etc., the SPPO shall apply in the full extent.
