E-shop

What you can buy: domestic and some international tickets and seat reservations, In Karta

How to pay: by payment card, ČD Credit account, transport voucher, discount voucher, Google Pay

How you receive your ticket: after purchase, the ticket is automatically downloaded to your computer in PDF format and also sent to your provided email. You can print this ticket on your printer. The 2D code on the ticket can be displayed to the conductor for inspection on your portable electronic device – e.g., on your laptop monitor. You can also present the ticket to the conductor as a PNG image with a 2D code displayed on your mobile phone. For domestic tickets, instead of a printed ticket, you can simply provide the transaction code, which you'll find on the bottom right of the ticket above the graphic code. If you enter your In Karta number when purchasing a domestic ticket in the e-shop, then during inspection on the train, you only need to present this In Karta to the conductor.

How you receive your ticket: the ticket is automatically downloaded to the application after purchase. It will also be sent to your email. For domestic tickets, instead of the ticket image, you can simply provide the transaction code, which you'll find on the bottom right of the ticket above the graphic code. If you enter your In Karta number when purchasing a domestic ticket in the e-shop, then during inspection on the train, you only need to present this In Karta to the conductor. If you have In Karta on your mobile, simply show the rotating QR code of your In Karta (Tickets card)

Based on a written order, travel documents can be collected at the ticket counter and paid for cashless by invoice issued by České dráhy. The order form can be picked up at the ticket counter or you can print it in advance. More detailed instructions are provided directly in the order.

At the IDS ticket machine

At some stations, you can purchase IDS tickets from the local integrated transport system (IDS) ticket machines, some of which are also valid on ČD trains (according to the rules of the local IDS).

How you receive your ticket: printed paper ticket

Purchasing a ticket from the conductor is possible without a surcharge if you are traveling from a station where the ticket office was not open. Otherwise, a handling surcharge of CZK 50 must be paid. Holders of ZTP or ZTP/P cards do not pay the handling surcharge, even at stations with an open ticket office.

Purchasing a ticket at a ticket machine on the train or from the driver is only possible on trains without a conductor with a so-called self-service check-in method (marked with an eye symbol). Traveling on these trains is similar to urban public transport, and it is only possible to board through the first doors or the doors next to the ticket machine. You can only board with a pre-purchased ticket, which you mark immediately after boarding in the ticket validator. You can also purchase tickets in supplementary sales directly from the driver or from a ticket machine located in selected carriages. In some cases, the driver may only sell you a ticket to the transfer station, with the understanding that you will purchase the ticket to your final destination from the conductor on the first connecting train.

Passengers with a 2nd class ticket must not occupy seats in 1st class.

Integrated transport system tickets

Within the regions of the Czech Republic, it is possible to use integrated transport system (IDS) tickets for travel on our trains. IDS tickets are sold according to the conditions of individual IDS (ČD ticket offices, ticket machines, conductors on the train, e-shops of other carriers, etc.).
