What is a Ticket with an Obligatory Train (Fixed Ticket)?

The most inexpensive ticket possible for the given route with the option to purchase up to 2 months in advance – the earlier you purchase, the cheaper you’ll travel.

Where to purchase Tickets with an Obligatory Train (Vázaná jízdenka)?

  • in the ČD e-shop, on the ČD mobile website on m.cd.cz, or in the Můj vlak (“My Train”) mobile application

The Fixed Ticket offers

  • The cheapest possible ticket for the given route with the option to purchase up to half a year in advance
  • The sooner you buy, the cheaper you travel
  • Use is bound to a specific prescribed train
  • After completing the journey on the prescribed train, you can transfer to any other train
  • In the event of missing a connection or a delay of the prescribed train by 30 minutes or more, you can use another connection
  • Can only be purchased for 2nd class
  • With an In Karta you always buy even cheaper

For trains with mandatory seat reservations, it is necessary to purchase a seat reservation with the ticket. We recommend purchasing a seat reservation for every long-distance train, when purchasing a ticket online you get a seat reservation for free (with the exception of trains/compartments with mandatory seat reservations).

Affordable travel available to everyone

You can use Fixed Tickets for journeys between selected cities. To get the best price for your journey, you no longer have to buy several separate tickets. Now you can buy a single ticket from your departure station to your destination station and we will automatically include in the price the prices of Discounted Flexi tickets or Fixed tickets that could be used along the route. Our e-shop, the My Train mobile application and ticket offices will always offer you the current best price for a ticket for your entire journey. You can also purchase a Discounted Flexi ticket or a Fixed ticket from the smallest stop.

The ticket cannot be used for intra-regional journeys by passenger trains (Os) and fast trains (Sp) in the Zlín, Pilsen, South Moravian and Moravian-Silesian regions.
