How can you pay?

ČD Kredit
  • Yes, the 2D code in the app is recognized by Slovak, Hungarian, Polish, German, and Austrian railways. However, buying international tickets to other countries is not yet available through the app.

  • The EPIK electronic wallet (not to be confused with ČD Kredit – this is a different service) is intended for travelers who are not online. Funds are loaded directly onto the In Karta either at a ticket counter or with a conductor, and the money is stored directly on the In Karta. There is no way to deduct funds from the In Karta using the app or mobile phone; only the conductor’s ticket counter can do this.

  • The easiest and fastest way is to pay using the ČD Kredit service.

  • It's possible that there was a failure with some banking services. The payment is only in a pending status and will be credited back to your account. However, to be sure, always provide more information via our contact form, or you can send a message with the "Problem with the ticket" flag directly from the app.

  • Tickets can be purchased only until the scheduled departure time of the train; it is not possible after this time, even if the train is delayed. The purchase must be made no later than the scheduled departure time according to the timetable. It is also possible that this type of ticket can only be purchased at the ticket office, or for international tickets, only on the ČD e-shop.

  • It's likely that the app was restored from a backup, which is not allowed according to security rules, and the app needs to be reset to default settings. Alternatively, you should reinstall the app completely. Issues with payment via fingerprint or Face ID can also be caused by, for example, an update to the phone system's security policies.
